Job Description

MSS Executive Search are looking to recruit a Commercial Director for an established global manufacturer based in Lincolnshire. Applicants should ideally have experience within textile manufacturing.

The main purpose of the role is the development and execution of strategies to increase sales into specialty markets. You will be accountable for the management of global customers to deliver the revenue in line with the business objectives.

Main responsibilities:

* Provide commercial/technical onsite support to the existing international customer base to strengthen the customer relationship and be able to demonstrate market sector and supply chain knowledge

* Develop pricing policies for in collaboration with the General Manager

* Forecast annually the customer revenue for the following year and the commercial department budget

* Develop and maintain a database containing pertinent information relating to existing customers, market opportunities, competition, and industry trends & have available to feed into the Senior Management Team

* Produce monthly sales management reports detailing current performance against budget and analyse the performance to date in order to implement corrective action to bring back on target where necessary

* Identify market sector sales opportunities and develop value propositions to realise sales in line with the business strategy

* Be responsible for all marketing activities and the development of all marketing collateral as well the growth of the brand

* Commercialise enquiries and new opportunities that meet the company’s sales strategy

* Promote and sell at international EXPO’s

* Coach, motivate and guide the Commercial Team in achieving business objectives

* Ensure development and implementation of effective policies, processes, systems and standards to support the Commercial and wider teams

* Conduct monthly sales meetings to review individual contribution and achievement


* Sales experience at a Senior / Director level

* Experience within textile or fabric manufacturing

* Experience handling £million accounts in the UK and International

* Strategically & commercially focused

* Confident and experience in new business development and key account management

* Key skills in management and leadership

* Degree educated

* Willingness to travel across the UK and Internationally
